The RBVFC Endowment is a permanently invested pool of charitable contributions designed to grow over time and provide a stable, long‑term source of financial support for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company. Once the principal—or seed capital—is invested, it remains intact, while a portion of the annual investment earnings is distributed to RBVFC to advance its mission. The endowment is intended to strengthen the Company’s financial future by generating dependable revenue year after year.

In contrast, the RBVFC General Fund consists of donations and revenues that are used immediately to meet the Company’s day‑to‑day operational expenses. These funds are not invested for long‑term growth; they are spent in full to sustain ongoing services, readiness, and community response.
While the General Fund supports today’s needs, the Endowment is structured to safeguard tomorrow’s—preserving principal, generating investment returns, and ensuring the long‑term financial resilience of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.
